Community Update #4.6

We are so happy to see so many of the children back at school this week. We can't wait for the Year 3 & 4 children to return to their classrooms next week.

Some of the children will share their back at school experiences in the virtual assembly video on Monday.

We thank all parents for helping the children to stay safe and well and continuing to support the children during flexible learning as required.

Stay safe and well and enjoy some extra freedom this weekend.

Staff Baby News

Ms Jacinta Stokes (5 S teacher) shared her exciting news with her class this week. Jacinta and her partner Dylan are expecting a baby ! We wish Jacinta well as she takes leave and we look forward to her return to St Pat's in the near future.

We are delighted to announce that Mrs Lisa Harris who is currently on leave after the birth of baby Liam will return to St Pat's in a part time teaching role for 2022.

  • From Wednesday November 3 (Week 5)
         All children back onsite.

Masks Year 3-6

Children bringing masks to wear in the classroom are advised to bring their mask in a snaplock bag with their name on it. This will ensure that the masks can be stored safely and don't get mixed up if the children take them off to go outside.

Closure Days

There is one closure day on Monday 1st November. This is the day that is always set aside for staff to prepare reports.
The second closure day that has been on the calendar for Term 4 has now been cancelled for this year.

Parents & Friends Update

Disposable Mask orders - thankyou & update on distribution
We are very grateful to the Truscott family for supporting our children to return to school safely by supplying masks to purchase. Orders for families who had children attending school this week should have been collected by those children. Families whose children have not been on-site have been contacted by email to arrange a drop off over the weekend - masks will not be available for collection from the Portico as previously advised.
If there have been any errors in your order, please contact the P&Fpandf@spmurrumbeena.catholic.edu.au
There is a strong possibility that more masks may be available to order next week.

Support Our (Last Minute!) Mango Fundraiser - Orders open for 1 week only

If you love mangoes, here’s your chance to indulge in fresh juicy Kensington Pride mangoes and support school fundraising efforts. We are selling 4.5kg trays of mangoes picked and packed during the premium harvest. Trays will cost $20 each and we expect delivery to the school in the first two weeks of December (date TBA). Orders must be placed by the end of next week using CDFPay (a payment portal will open on Monday). If we are unable to meet the minimum order of 64 trays, any money will be credited to your CDF account.

Second Hand Uniform Stall – Email us to place your order & Volunteers Needed

If you are in need of school uniforms the second hand uniform shop can help you out. A variety of items, in a range of sizes are available for $5 per item using CDFPay. While COVID restrictions continue you can contact us via email at stpatssecondhanduniforms@gmail.com. Please include the items and sizes you require. If we have what you need we will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery/pick up option.

Once restrictions are lifted, we hope the stall will be available onsite at the school, one afternoon per week for 30mins around school finish time. If you have time to assist with this, please contact our second hand uniform coordinator Sandra IORLANO via: stpatssecondhanduniforms@gmail.com. This is a great way to meet other parents and your commitment can flexible to suit your availability.

2022 P&F Class Reps - Volunteers needed

We are currently looking for volunteers to be the P&F representatives in each class or year level for 2022. Being a class rep is a wonderful way to meet other parents, and is a huge support to the P&F Committee and the school.

The main role of the Class Reps is to foster a sense of community within the year level by:

·       Welcoming new families who may join the school mid year

·       Being a conduit from the P&F to the families in your class / year in relation to P&F social events or fundraising efforts

·       Organising social events for your year level in conjunction with your other year level reps

If you would like to volunteer, or would like more information – please email: pandf@spmurrumbeena.catholic.edu.au or contact Jenny Jones 0410470647
