We understand that everybody will feel a little anxious about the children returning onsite. We are hopeful that all will go well.
Please understand that we have a number of Covid safe measures in place.
Here is a link to a supportive video recommended by one of our school families:
To support Victorian schoolchildren with their return to onsite learning, The Royal Children's Hospital hosted a Facebook Live featuring experts in health and learning on 14th October 2021.
You can watch the replay here.
Don't hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.
Prep Drop Off and Pick Up Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
We look forward to welcoming the Prep children back to school on Monday.
In order to ensure a safe drop off, the children will enter through the backyard gates from 8:45am.
For safety reasons, it is imperative that parents don't enter the school grounds. Please social distance outside the gates.
To ally any anxiety, staff will be available to meet your children and assist them.
The teachers and leaders will be in the playground to welcome the children and direct them inside to their classrooms.
The teachers will bring the children into the back yard at 3:25pm. Again we encourage you to social distance outside the school grounds. When you see your child, you may enter from the back gates and exit with you child through the front yard. Please do not congregate on the school grounds.
Year 1 & 2 Drop Off Thursday and Friday
We look forward to welcoming the Year 1 & 2 children back to school on Thursday and Friday.
We ask parents to follow the safety protocols mentioned above.
Year 1 & 2 children can enter through the front yard gates at 8:45am and exit through the front yard gates ( making use of the side gate beside the church too).
Safety Bubbles - Keeping our school community safe.
As children begin to return to school on Monday, we will be operating a little differently to previously.
In order to minimise opportunities for Covid transmission, each year level will operate as a “bubble”.
This means that students and their teacher (and LSO) can only access their own classroom.
Where possible, movement around the school (e.g. for play) will be directly outside rather than along corridors.
Play times will be separate and in dedicated spaces.
All students, on arrival, will head straight to their classroom.
All staff, Years 3-6 and some others will wear their masks while inside, except where it impacts a child’s access to learning.
