Community Update #1.11

On Wednesday we celebrated our patron saint with a mass together in the church. Fr Siby asked us to pray for each other and say a blessing for all the places that we visit and for our family and friends too.

Confirmation Parent Information Workshop

Thanks to all of the families that attended the Year 6 Confirmation evening on Monday. Our Faith and Community Leaders, Ms La Fontaine and Mrs O'Dwyer coordinated a very informative evening. The evening was recorded and a video link is available. Please contact principal@spmurrumbeena for a link to the video.

Mrs Harris has some exciting news to share with you all !
On March 11, Lisa and Will welcomed their little bundle of joy Liam Jonathon Harris into the world and are enjoying this special time as a family of three.

We continue to keep the Harris family in our prayers and send our love and blessings to beautiful baby Liam.

Harmony Week Dress Up day
We proudly recognise and celebrate the many diverse cultures that make up our school. Some more photos will be shared on our school FB page shortly.

Choir 2021
Our 2021 school choir performed publicly for the first time at assembly to lead the school in singing a special song for the Harmony Week celebrations.
You can watch and listen to the choir sing in this video.

Assembly awards from Week 8 Monday 15 March
Here is a video of the awards from the week.

Assembly Badge Presentation
Leadership badges and SRC badges will be presented at assembly this Monday.
The presentations will be recorded.
We are sorry that we still can't welcome parents to our assemblies due to the restrictions on space. We look forward to welcome families back into the school next term when we hope that restrictions will be eased.

National Ride 2 School Day
Thanks to all of the families for supporting National Ride 2 School Day on Friday. We had 80 bicycles as well as scooters at school.
National Ride2School Day is Australia’s biggest celebration of active travel where students, teachers and parents discover the joy of riding and kick-start healthy habits for the future.

Beachside Lawn Bowls Division
Well done to the 24 Year 6 students who competed at the Beachside Lawn Bowls Competition on Thursday at Alma Park, Caulfield.
Our students were split into two teams and played against 6 other teams. It was an exciting day on the green with all improving their bowling skills as the day progressed. We finished the round robin playing each other and many laughs and competitive attitudes were displayed.
Team B finished in 5th position followed by Team A in 4th. Well done to all our year 6 students and thank you to Ms Guscott for supporting Ms Trott on the day.

Miss Trott

PLEASE SUPPORT OUR SCHOOL

Chadstone is proud to be offering over 30 local schools the chance to win $20,000 in school supplies. At the end of the program, three schools will each win $20,000 to spend at Chadstone, with one winner from each of the following tiers (based on enrolment numbers).

St Pat's is in Tier 3 and we are currently in 3rd place.

For every $20 spent at participating Fresh Food retailers, Kmart and Target, between 6 - 28 March 2021 , a customer can present their same day receipt/s to Chadstone’s Concierge Desk during centre trading hours to receive one token to contribute towards the School of their choice.

If they spend $40, they will receive two tokens to contribute, and so on.

They can then use their token/s to add to the voting box of their chosen school. All voting boxes are available adjacent to the Concierge Desk on the Ground Level by Michael Hill Jewellers.
