This week we have seen the fencing going up in the backyard, and the front yard fencing is imminent. The Preps and Yr 1s are operating out of their new rooms and are quite excited about the changes. Because of our limited space, keyboard, guitar and DramaTime are on hold probably for the remainder of the year. Hopefully you've been notified if this impacts you.
Fathers and Special Friends Day
Today the Yr 6s and their fathers and special friends enjoyed breakfast at Levi before school. Thanks to Sue Xerri and Maggie Pereira for organising.
On Tuesday, we had 63 students years 3-6 represent St Pats and compete at the Dendy District Athletics at Duncan McKinnon. Despite some very cold and rainy conditions, all athletes put in max effort for their events and cheered loudly from the grandstands, for their peers. St Patricks finished in 7th position for percentage and 4th overall.
All students should be commended for their efforts throughout the day, especially to these following students who excelled in their events and progressed through to Beachside Division on the 11th October...
- Eliza Parr - 1st in 100m sprint (11 years)
- Eliza Parr - 2nd in 200m sprint (11 years)
- Matilda Cincotta - 1st in 800m (12-13 years)
- Eliza Jeffkins - 1st in Long Jump (9-10 years)
- Daniel Theuma - 1st in Shot Put (11 years)
- Jonathan Chronopolous - 2n in Shot Put (12-13 years)
- Girls 100m Relay: Eliza P, Isabella L, Sienna C, Maeve E - 2nd (11 years)
A very HUGE thank you to Mr Daidone and Mr Moran, Andrew and Alexandra for supervising the children and ensuring they got off to their events on time. As well as our lovely parents Vanessa M, Vanessa J, Gabby and Syke for bracing the wet and officiating the discus event all day. Without your help and support the children would not have been able to attend.
Well done St Pats.
NAPLAN Results
To all Year 3 & 5 Parents/Guardians NAPLAN results have been sent home with the children today.
Code of Conduct
Parents are asked to revisit the code of conduct that all parents signed on enrolment. It is not appropriate for parents to approach other parents to discuss issues that occur at school. Remember children will usually give their version of events, which may not tell the whole story. If it happened at school, it should be dealt with at school, and there is a formal process to deal with Complaints. Please refer your concerns to the principal to follow up.
