A Confirmation Prayer
Here is the prayer that the children and parents prayed at the preparation workshop on Wednesday evening. May we keep our Year 6 children in our prayers as they prepare to make their Confirmation next term.
Grant that we may always be willing to the Spirit working in our lives, that we may know and appreciate what is right and good, and so find happiness in your presence. Help us to recognise the Spirit's invitation to service and respond with joy & eagerness. We ask this though your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever, Amen.
Morning Prayers
The children love welcoming you to their learning spaces across the school. We will continue to have prayers on Wednesday and Friday until the end of the term. We are averaging about 20 parents per session. Today we had 28 parents attend.
Please note that on the last day of term ( Friday 24 June), we have a whole school mass in the church for the Feast of the Sacred Heart. We won't have morning prayers on that morning but you are most welcome to join us in the church for mass.
Social Justice Action for Term 2On Thursday, members of the St Vincent de Paul, Murrumbeena came and spoke to the children about their work. This term we are linking our social justice action to St Vincent de Paul, Murrumbeena, using our core values of supporting each other, treating each other fairly and respecting and valuing one another.

Semester 1 reports will be available to access through PAM on Tuesday afternoon.
Many parents have already booked an appointment to meet with class teachers next week. If you are unable to make a booking, please contact Lina or Kellie in the office and they can assist you.
We are currently processing enrolments for 2023. Here is a link to the enrolment form. Please complete and return to the office as soon as possible or pick up a hard copy from the front office.
Tapping into parent expertise
Part of the school's vision is to value the skills that our parent's can offer.. tap into the expertise of our parents and carers. In the past few years, we have had different working groups eg. Cultural, Grants, Health & Safety, Child Safety. These working groups replaced the POPE forums and allowed an opportunity for parents to contribute their skills and voice to strengthen the activities at school.
The Faith & Community team have prepared an invitation for parents to share their skills to support teaching and learning. For example, when teaching about Civics and Citizenship, having parents or community members who work in Government or for the Council are rich sources of information to include in our children's learning.
The form will go home with the children or you can access it at this link.
Students are recommended to wear active wear or sporty clothes to school on Monday and bring a gold coin donation with them to school for this initiative.
The Year 6 students will be running activities at snack and lunch times all week for everyone to get involved.
We kindly ask St Patrick's families to please help contribute to this cause.
Kind regards
