Week 9 Term 4 2019

Advent
Advent comes from the Latin word meaning "coming." Jesus is coming, and Advent is intended to be a season of preparation for His arrivalOur Advent liturgies continue to take place on the 13th and 16th of December.
You are welcome to bring your children into the front office to see the beautiful Nativity display.
Thank you from Hayden's Helping Hand
Thanks so much to the St Pats community for their generosity with the toy drive. It’s a busy time of year and lots of collections happening so it’s really appreciated by Hayden’s Helping Hands and those they assist.

Carols Wednesday 11th at 6pm
Our carols event is a school event and all children are expected to attend. Please email our principal if your family is unable to attend.
The Christmas Carols evening is almost upon us on Wednesday 11 December at 6pm. We are asking each family to create a Christmas Tree which should be brought to school on the morning of the carols and taken home at the end of the evening.
We look forward to seeing all the wonderful creations on the evening. It's a great opportunity for all members of the family to put their heads together to make the tree and if possible with recycled materials. Check out Pinterest if you are stuck for ideas. Materials such as boxes, tins, coffee capsules could all be used. It can be as simple or as elaborate as you like, so we can all join in with festive spirit on the night.
When you arrive at school on Wednesday, please bring your creations into the hall so we can build a gallery of trees to be admired throughout the day and later in the evening.
Get everyone involved and have a wonderful Christmas.

Fair Update 21st March 2020
First Meeting Tuesday 17th December 7:30 -8:30 in the Staffroom
The wheels are turning for our first big community event in Term 1 2021. Save the date as published in our newsletter last week - 21st March !! The fair was a great success and as well as bringing the community together, it raised approximately $14000. Read the fair back story and find out about the resources purchased for our children and the community at this link. Come along to the fair meeting on Tuesday 17th December and find out more.
Our school lunch provider Three Little Bakers is keen to support the high tea at the fair again with delicious scones for 2020. We are grateful to Bert and the team who generously support all events we hold at school. Please continue to support Three Little Bakers over the Christmas period.
Three Little Bakers is a small family business, where you can still experience the good old service with a smile and the products are all carefully hand made on the premises.
Drop in and experience the warm welcome, great flavours and exceptional service at Three Little Bakers – we guarantee you’ll be back for more!

School Uniform Reminder
At St Patrick's we have a smart and comfortable school uniform that the children wear with pride. If you are purchasing school shoes for your child over the Christmas break, please be reminded that black runners are not a part of our school uniform. The uniform requirement is for black school shoes (leather or leather look-alike). If your child outgrows their school shoes during the year, a replacement pair will need to be purchased.
Thank you for your support.
