Year 3 Sacramental Workshops
Special thanks to Mrs Mullan and our Year 3 teachers for coordinating the Reconciliation workshops this week. The children are preparing to make their reconciliation on Tuesday 30th April. Please keep them in your prayers in the coming weeks.
Time Capsule Reveal
The contents of the time capsule are removed by Jenny Hawkins
with Alicia Cerrato's support (parent & historian)
Students from the Class of 1994 form a human chain to pass the contents inside.
Pauline D'Astoli (principal 1994) shares the contents with the community.
Jenny Hawkins & Pauline D'Astoli cut the special St Patrick's Day cake,

We had a large community turnout to the opening of the 1994 time capsule on Sunday. Please read the special message of thanks from Pauline D'Astoli, the principal from 1994. We plan to put something back into the time capsule towards the end of the year and will keep you informed. Thank you to everyone who helped and supported us on the day especially Alicia Cerrato (parent and historian). The current children are looking forward to learning about the messages from the past as they plan their own messages to leave for the children of the future.

Dear Jenny,

Please accept my sincere thanks for the hospitality of St Patrick's School Community and the wonderful occasion of the opening of the Time Capsule after 25 years.

It was very moving to reconnect with St Pat's school community after so many years.

25 years ago, I could not have imagined the extraordinary event you arranged to mark this St Patrick's Day and present the objects.

To see students, staff and parents from our era was remarkable. It was also significant to see Bernadette Ronchi, our Pastoral Associate, attending too along with Bishop Elliott.

I can imagine the students and staff coming up with very rich questions that a Time Capsule experience provokes.

I think it is important for the children to know we were thinking of them long before they were born and that are connected to us as St Patrick's parish family.

Once again many thanks for your kindness to so many visitors who came back for this marvellous day.

Best wishes,

Pauline D'Astoli
St Patrick's Principal 1994

Welcome
This week we welcomed Miss Jacinta Stokes to our staff. Miss Stokes is an experienced teacher who  has relocated from New South Wales and has taken over from Mrs Hills and Mrs Oliver as the 4S class teacher. We are pleased to have Miss Stokes join our St Patrick's school community.

Open Morning
Thanks to the many parents and grandparents who attended the Open Morning yesterday. About 80 families were represented and the children enjoyed sharing their classroom and their learning with you. Thanks to our staff who opened up their learning spaces to welcome you. If you have any feedback for us about the Open Morning please email me jhawkins@spmurrumbeena.catholic.edu.au

SRC Badges
The SRC Badges will be presented at assembly this coming Monday.

Parish Education Board (PEB) AGM
This week we held the PEB AGM. I would like to express my thanks to John O'Sullivan our Chair who has been a very supportive and pro active Chair for the past twelve months. John will remain in this role for 2019. John presented a very informative report at the AGM. You can read the full report under the parish tab on our Learning Community Site. Here is a link to the PEB AGM Chair and Principal Reports.
Thanks to all of our board members, especially Gabby Paroli who has been the secretary for the past two years. We also thank John Howard and Kylie Newman whose term on the board has come to an end.
Thank you to the parents who have returned the blue "100 ways to help" forms. Please keep sending them into the office as we build our database of expertise from within our community.
