Reconciliation: Congratulations to our Year 3's 
Thank you to Fr Paul, our Year 3 teaching team, Mrs Mullan and parents for helping to ensure the Year 3's First Reconciliation was a very special and blessed experience. Please keep our children in your prayers.

Nationally Consistent Collection of Data

The Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) on School Students with Disability is an annual data collection that counts the number of school students with disability and the level of reasonable educational adjustments they are provided. The 2017 NCCD data is due to be collected by 18 August 2017.

For 2017, all Victorian Catholic schools are required to provide their NCCD data collection via an excel spreadsheet, which specifies individual student names, onto the NCCD Survey Tool. Student identifying information will only be provided to the Catholic Education Commission of Victoria Ltd (CECV) for the purposes of financial modelling in the transition from the Student with Disabilities funding model to the new NCCD funding model. The information provided to the Department will not contain any identifying student details as previously stated. 

We are asked to provide the NCCD Consent Form to families to explain the change in the collection process this year. Only parents/carers/guardians who do not consent for their child’s name to be provided should return the form to the school. 

Please note that active parent consent to include students in the NCCD collection is not required as per the Australian Education Regulation 2013.

ACTION : Please pick up a CECV NCCD Consent Form for families as part of the school CECV: Nationally consistent Collection of Data Survey Tool from the school office or contact us and it can be emailed to you.

Peer Mediation Student Training

This semester we are introducing a Peer Mediation Program to our Year 5’s in preparation for their role as leaders in Year 6. This program reflects our school values of resilience, respect and responsibility by contributing to our focus on social awareness and well being, responsible decision making and respectful relationship skills.
Peer mediation invites students to take responsibility for their actions by working together to help children resolve minor disputes and conflict. Conflict resolution skills empower, prepare and support students to deal successfully with situations at school, at home and in later life. The range of skills includes listening, negotiation, assertiveness, problem solving and reflecting. Peer mediation helps develop a safe supportive school community.

Parent Helper's Course

I will be facilitating a 2^nd Classroom Parent Helper’s Workshop in Term 3.

I will conduct the session on Monday 7th August @ 9.10

If you are interested you must have a current Working with Children check which is available from the Post Office. Please give that information to Sandra so it can be put on the database.

Recent School Closure Excitement!

Splash! Water everywhere!!!!   No school today!    4P’s pipe burst.

Water has spread really far so the electricity and the water

has been turned off. We had to stay in Rovira House!    Lachie 2T  & Zac 2T

At St Pats 4P’s pipes burst and water went everywhere.

It went from 4P to 4V, 2M and 2T.    Lachie 1W

Oh no! The pipes have burst in 4P. What now?

No school, so the people that went to Before School Care had to go to Rovira. We had lots of fun!     Matilda  1W  & Lily PC

Yay! We don’t have school today! The pipes popped in Mrs Petrovich’s room.

Some children went home with their mums and some children stayed at school.

We went to Rovira House and now we are working!   Sadie PY & Raphelle 1M

So it happened at St Patrick’s Murrumbeena. It all happened in 4P. The flood of water went into 2M, 2T & 4V. Lots of people went home and some people stayed.   Alex 1M

Splash! Bang! Burst! At St Patrick’s Murrumbeena on 27/7/2017  a water PIPE BURST in all of the classrooms and especially 4P, 4V, 2T and 2M. It burst because we were using too much water. Some children had to go to Rovira House.   Carla 2T & Holly 1M

Many thanks to all the parents and students for your management of the snap school closure day yesterday. Now with only a couple of temporary relocations for 2T and 4P, St Patrick's soliders on!
